Julie Waters: Hurricane Relief Concert: Monday, September 19th

"A powerhouse lineup of performers"

On Monday, September 19th, 2005, at 7:00pm, I organzed a ragtag group of performers from the Vermont area to do a benefit concert for survivors of hurricane Katrina. Between ticket sales and the items raffled, the show netted $600 in donations.

I want to give special thanks to the performers who joined me for this event, Jesse Peters and Suzy Peters, Josh Maiocco, T. Namaya and Bill Shontz, Jae C. Steele, Mike Mrowicki and Amelia Struthers, all of whom performed gratis for this special event.

Thanks also go out to Guitar Sam, Ripples Fitness Center, New Falls Cinema, Brattleboro Books, Bulls-Eye Music, The Latchis Theater, Harlow's Farm Stand, Brown and Roberts, Chris Jones/Middle Earth, who donated items for the raffle, along with the volunteers who helped advertise, promote and otherwise make this night a success.

Additional thanks go out to Christ's Church in Saxtons River, VT, which donated a marvelous performance space.
