Julie Waters: Hurricane Relief Concert: Monday, September 19th

"A powerhouse lineup of performers"

On Monday, September 19th, 2005, at 7:00pm, I organzed a ragtag group of performers from the Vermont area to do a benefit concert for survivors of hurricane Katrina. Between ticket sales and the items raffled, the show netted $600 in donations.

I want to give special thanks to the performers who joined me for this event, Josh Maiocco, Jae C. Steele, Jesse Peters and Suzy Peters, Mike Mrowicki and Amelia Struthers, T. Namaya and Bill Shontz, all of whom performed gratis for this special event.

Thanks also go out to The Latchis Theater, New Falls Cinema, Chris Jones/Middle Earth, Brown and Roberts, Brattleboro Books, Guitar Sam, Harlow's Farm Stand, Bulls-Eye Music, Ripples Fitness Center, who donated items for the raffle, along with the volunteers who helped advertise, promote and otherwise make this night a success.

Additional thanks go out to Christ's Church in Saxtons River, VT, which donated a marvelous performance space.
